Three primary schools in Swindon, all part of The White Horse Federation (TWHF), have been praised by the Secretary of State for Education in a letter which highlights that they have secured “excellent outcomes” for disadvantaged pupils.
Gorse Hill Primary School, Mountford Manor Primary School and Moredon Primary School have all been recognised by Secretary of State for Education, Bridget Phillipson, for their significant achievement in demonstrating strong attainment outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.
The letter states that “this success reflects the dedication of your staff and the hard work of your pupils” and highlights that this shows what can be achieved “when ambition and commitment come together.”
Dr. Dan Nicholls, CEO at The White Horse Federation, said:
“It is brilliant to see Gorse Hill, Mountford Manor and Moredon being recognised for closing the disadvantage gap for those who need us most - this is perhaps the most important measure of our worth.
“Congratulations to all our staff who are doing amazing work across TWHF and thank you to all our families and pupils for all their dedication and support.
“We are all working together to support all children to lead inspiring lives with greater opportunity and choice.”
